I’m interested in so many different subjects from Alcatraz to insects and I have turned those interests into several nonfiction books alongside my fiction titles. Plus, kids love nonfiction! According to this article, 80 percent of first-graders chose nonfiction when picking out books.

Let’s start our discussion of nonfiction with a look at the types of nonfiction books available in the market today.

Active nonfiction
Browsable nonfiction
Traditional nonfiction
Expository nonfiction
Narrative nonfiction.
